Pretty awesome farmer market with many artisan bakeries, cheese purveyors, vegetable farms and hot foods. Can recommend.
This market is a must if you're in the area. Huge selection of produce, baked goods, cheeses and prepared foods.
So fun to wander through the stalls, buying fresh fruit, veggies, local honey, getting lunch at one of the stands. Try something different each time you go. We discovered Black Twig apples at a stand this visit- maybe the best apple I've ever tasted. And don't forget the pie lady at the Golden Crust stand. Buy an old favorite or try a new flavor, they're all delish!
The Marin Farmers Market is a cherished gem for fresh produce enthusiasts, and I’ve been a loyal visitor for 15 years. The abundance of stands showcasing high-quality fruits, vegetables, and other farm-fresh delights is truly impressive.
One standout feature is the diverse selection, including a captivating jewelry stand that adds a unique touch to the market. However, the real star of the show is the dim sum stand, a personal favorite for over a decade. The dim sum from Kathy’s stand is unparalleled, earning its reputation as the best in the Bay Area. Kathy’s expertise and personal touch make the experience even more special; she not only serves delicious dim sum but creates a sense of community by getting to know her customers.
For anyone visiting the Marin Farmers Market, Kathy’s dim sum stand is a must-visit. Overall, this market holds a special place in my heart, making it my favorite spot in Marin.
One of the original Farmers Markets in the Bay Area, the Marin Farmers market is a true gem. With tons of stalls and vendors, they have music, prepared food, hot food, bakery items to cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, local food artisans. Bring your bags and cash. Some vendors have credit card readers, but cash is king.
Bring your loved ones, family and friends! It’s one of the largest farmers markets, and can take awhile to walk. Plenty of parking, no dogs, all outside.
Sunday Marin Farmers Market has a lot of
organically grown produce, Year round,
Thursdays and Sundays, 8am-1pm.
I spent Sunday morning at the farmers market. I loved it. The produce was comparatively priced to the grocery stores, but the quality was excellent. Fresh and full of flavor. The tamales and salsa from Mi Fiesta was reason to go alone. Yum! I absolutely will return.
It's been a few weeks since my last visit and it finally seems like the market is back to normal! There were several small seating areas, live music, and new vendors for prepared food, baked goods, veggies, etc.
Had the bacon with three cheeses grilled cheese sandwich from The Farmers Wife and a lemon bun from Biscuits and Buns. Both were delicious. Lavender honey bacon grilled cheese with apricot conserve, agreed cheddar, and blue cheese was an amazing balance of sweet and savory. The lemon bun was moist and tangy, which is really difficult to do with gluten free and vegan baking.
A great way to start a Sunday, as always
